A tournament system is a structure that allows for competitive gameplay and rewards based on performance. This is a way for collectors to showcase their collection and compete with other collectors at their level. The system is divided into 8 divisions based on the number of experience points (xP) a card has generated, with each division having its own set of qualifications and rewards. The higher the division, the more elite and valuable the cards are within the OWNIC collection.
The top-performing cards in each division at the end of the week are rewarded with money prizes. The amount of money rewarded depends on the division and the ranking of the card. For example, the top-performing card in the Elite division can earn up to $10,000, while the top-performing card in Division 5 can earn up to $50. To ensure fairness and balance, the MoneyBall League has implemented a few rules. For instance, a card can only be in one division at a time and cannot switch divisions during the week. Also, collectors cannot change their lineup during the week or participate with the same card in multiple divisions.
MoneyBall League guarantees a cash prize pool for the top performers in each division's leaderboard. The amount of prize money varies according to the division. For Division 5, the total prize pool is $430, with $50 for the first-place winner, $20 for the second to fifth place, $10 for the sixth to twentieth place, and $5 for the twenty-first to fiftieth place. For Division 4, the total prize pool is $825, with $100 for the first-place winner, $50 for the second to fifth place, $30 for the sixth to fifteenth place, and $15 for the sixteenth to thirtieth place. For Division 3, the total prize pool is $850, with $150 for the first-place winner, $75 for the second to fifth place, $40 for the sixth to tenth place, and $20 for the eleventh to twentieth place. For Division 2, the total prize pool is $975, with $200 for the first-place winner, $100 for the second to fifth place, $50 for the sixth to tenth place, and $25 for the eleventh to fifteenth place. For Division 1, the total prize pool is $1275, with $300 for the first-place winner, $150 for the second to fifth place, and $75 for the sixth to tenth place. For the Challengers Division, the total prize pool is $2000, with $500 for the first-place winner, $250 for the second to fifth place, and $100 for the sixth to tenth place. For the Champions Division, the total prize pool is $4250, with $1000 for the first-place winner, $500 for the second to fifth place, and $250 for the sixth to tenth place. Finally, for the Elite Division, the total prize pool is $6250, with $1500 for the first-place winner, $750 for the second to fifth place, and $350 for the sixth to tenth place.
Ownic Cup is a monthly competition that provides an exciting and engaging experience for collectors. It adds an element of luck to the mix and rewards participants with guaranteed prizes. The competition involves a Shootout between cards of similar divisions that have generated the most xP in a given month. Each division has different guaranteed prizes for the raffle, and the higher the division is in the pyramid, the better the rewards are. Every card in a division is automatically enrolled to participate in the Ownic Cup. The competition starts on the first calendar day of the month and ends on the last calendar day of the month. Each card enters the Leaderboard of the division it was in at the start of the Shootout, which is calculated based on the xP it generates throughout the given month. The final leaderboard is divided into two sections, top 50% and bottom 50%. To determine the winners of the shootout, OWNIC will hold a provably fair raffle from the collectors in the top 50%. Based on the raffle, a randomly selected number of winners will become known, and the awards will be issued.
